"New Beginnings"...most people measure their lives by endings and beginnings...We at D Gernatt Homes focus on "New Beginnings". In The Bible the number eight has special relevance and as the eighth of nine children, it has also always had special relevance for David Gernatt too. In The Bible, the eighth day was the first day of the "new week", and King David was the eighth son of Jesse, through whose lineage the "New Covenant" came for all mankind. In 2019, David, Tracy, and Alex embarked on a "New Beginning", founding D Gernatt Homes LLC. In 2022, David Paul Gernatt joined our team, starting his "New Beginning". Since its founding, D Gernatt Homes has been "Creating new beginnings, one homeowner, one home, one community at a time". With a combined thrity-two plus years of real estate, development, and building experience, we have managed projects ranging from consulting, land aquisition, entitlement and development, to new custom homes, commercial construction, demolition/reconstruction, and remodels/additions. We have experience with every facet of real estate and construction. We work closely with our customers to create their "New Beginning". Alex Gernatt is a Project Manager with D Gernatt Homes. Alex is in charge of coordinating subcontractors to ensure a quality home is constructed from start to finish. Before D Gernatt Homes, Alex spent time as a laborer in the construction field for both residential and commercial companies. He was also in the Georgia National Guard for six years working his way up to the rank of Sergeant and spending nine months on a combat deployment in Afghanistan. Alex's experience as a laborer familiarized him with the construction world, but his military experience is what taught him the management skills to coordinate subcontractors and overcome issues quickly as they arise. Alex is married to his wife, Corina, and has two daughters. They enjoy spending their free time outdoors and with nearby family.

David Gernatt is the owner of D Gernatt Homes. The eighth of nine children to Paul and Sheila Gernatt. Born and raised in Cobb County, he graduated from The Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) with a Bachelors of Science in Management. Proud husband to Tracy Gernatt, five children, two daughter in laws, two grandchildren, and one on the way. With twenty-nine years of real estate and construction experience, David started building homes prior to graduating from Georgia Tech. Now Licensed General Contractor, Residential and Light Commercial, member of Greater Atlanta Homebuilders Association, Licensed Real Estate Agent, and member of National Association of Realtors.

David Gernatt (DP) is a Project Manager with D Gernatt Homes. David is in charge of coordinating subcontractors to ensure a quality home is constructed from start to finish. Before D Gernatt Homes, David spent time as a laborer at a residential construction company, played two years of baseball and studied Business at Lincoln Memorial University. He then went to work as an Operations Manager at FedEx Ground where he was in charge of coordinating inbound and outbound trucks. Ensuring accounts were processed and delivered on time, all while maintaining safety of his warehouse dock. He learned how to manage teams of people working on different tasks to complete one common goal. David is a proud husband and dad to a five month old son. He enjoys learning new things and likes the outdoors.
